2.2 Peripheral_Devices

This quick wiring guide describes how to power the USX51 autopilot and connect its most important peripherals.
Hardware Connection
The following diagram shows the most important peripheral connections.
- Interface parameters and description
Flight control peripheral
| Main interfaces | Function and use |
|---|---|
| POWER1/POWER2 | Connect to the power PM module; has power input & AD voltage and current detection functions (this interface is used by default) |
| GPS1/GPS2 | Connect GPS |
| TELEM1/TELME3 | Connect data transmission, etc. for MAVLINK interactive data |
| TF CARD | Insert SD card to realize log storage function |
| I/O PWM/ FC PWM | PWM signal output port, can be used to control motors or servos |
| FC Debug | Used for FMU chip debugging and reading DEBUG device information |
| FC USB | Connect to the computer for communication between the flight controller and the computer, such as burning firmware |
| I2C | Connect external compass and other I2C devices for communication between flight controller and I2C devices |
| CAN1/CAN2 | Connect to UAVCAN devices such as CAN GPS for communication between flight controller and UAVCAN devices (for example, connecting NEO V2 pro uavcan GPS) |
| RC IN | Contains DSM, SBUS, and RSSI signal input interfaces. The DSM interface can be connected to a DSM satellite receiver, and the SBUS interface can be connected to an SBUS remote control receiver. |
| RSSI | Used to connect to the signal strength return module |

GPS positioning
We recommend using the UAVCAN GPS/RTK; simply connect it to the CAN 1/2 port. Alternatively, you can use a standard GPS/RTK module and connect it to the GPS port. Common GPS modules typically integrate GPS, a compass, a safety switch, a buzzer, and an LED status light. The GPS module should be mounted on a bracket away from other electronic devices. Mount it toward the front of the aircraft (the GPS arrow should align with the flight control arrow).
Remote
For your flight safety, we recommend that you connect the handheld remote control regardless of manual or automatic flight (which can be used as an emergency resuscitation device unless you are not proficient in operating the handheld remote control).
Power supply
The USX51 comes with a USP10 module, which supports 3~6s lithium batteries. Please connect the module's 6-pin connector to the flight controller's Power 1 port.
Telemetry (data transmission)
The telemetry system allows you to communicate with the drone via the ground station software. This allows you to monitor and control the drone in flight. The onboard telemetry system should be connected to the TELEM1/TELEM3 port.
SD
The SD card is already installed in the USX51 when it leaves the factory, so you do not need to install it.
